65th Annual Union of Youth Festival


Date: Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20, 2012

Theme: “Celebration of Youth Through the Ages”

 

The time has come to mark your calendars for the 65th Annual Union of Youth Festival!

Through our theme of “Celebrating Youth Through the Ages”, this year’s festival will be focusing on bringing back memories of your youth through some excellent entertainment, short stories, and a “Doukhobor Faire” display downstairs.

 

Latest Details:

Sunday Lunch

  • We will be selling individual servings of borscht and bread on Sunday during lunch-hour for $5 each to enjoy during the picnic outside.

Saturday Evening Program

  • Getting excited about the fun-filled, upbeat program of Saturday evening? To double your excitement, with each entry, you will be receiving a special keepsake as a gift from the USCC Union of Youth Council!
  • Tickets can now be purchased at the Brilliant Cultural Centre or by phone at (250) 365-3613 ext.21
  • Ticket Costs: $12 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, $18 for friends of the USCC

“Doukhobor Faire”

  • We are inviting applicants to promote and showcase Doukhobor arts and crafts and any other related materials of interest to  the Doukhobor Community for the “Doukhobor Faire” that will be located downstairs in the Brilliant Cultural Centre for the duration of the festival.
  • To register for a table, please fill out the form below and bring it to the Brilliant Cultural Centre office by May 16, 2012.

Psalm Study:

  • Ernie Verigin will be leading us in a psalm study entitled: “Connecting through God collectively” with the help of the USCC Sunday School Children, USCC Union of Youth, Kootenay Psalmists, and the Slocan Valley Choir.

Annual Festival Sports Day

  • Once again, we will be having our Annual Festival Sport’s Day on Monday, May 21st. Bring the entire family and a picnic lunch to enjoy some fun and games and some great company!
